the monitor display has become something like this ) ( and what ever i do, its not becoming straight. Does anyone know how to reset the monitor settings to default in windows XP

its set from the monitor itself isnt it?

u'll probably have to change the monitor. had the same problem.
for checking where the fault lies, plug in another monitor. if its fine then replace monitor, but, if same problem persists, software problem(very rarely though)

CRT or LCD monitor. I think it the problem of the monitor itself.

Play with the buttons of monitor..
