Is it known that Jinns can create sandstorms, plagues, whirlpools or any other type of storms?
Has anyone else heard of this information?

I was thinking since Jinns are known for moving heavy objects, do you think its possible that they can move objects so big like continental plates? which could explain how they could move the earth thus causing earthquakes?

I don't think a small creation like Jinn is capable of that. Rather its Allah 's Power that manifests in such natural phenomenon such as earthquakes and storms.

In addition, the activities of the Jinn are part of the Ghayb. It is NOT within our faculties to invent new ideas about the Ghayb if its not already determined as such in the texts of revelation.

24:43 TRanslation of Quran:
"Do you not see that Allah drives clouds? Then He brings them together, then He makes them into a mass, and you see the rain emerge from within it. And He sends down from the sky, mountains [of clouds] within which is hail, and He strikes with it whom He wills and averts it from whom He wills. We believers love our believing Jinn brethren. Nor can we accuse them of performing acts which Allah SWT states He wills.


Sandstorms, whirlpools are meteorology events.


Plagues are related to infectous and contagious disease. Neither are related to the jinn.
For example, the Black Death was a diseased bacteria carried by fleas that were parasites of rats. People who lived near the food of rats suffered bites from the fleas who opportunistically were attracted to human blood. The bitten people became infected with the bacteria causing near certain death for most. An estimated 30-60% of Europe's population died. Poor sanitation, poor hygiene, etc. exposed millions to the bacteria.
This was not a matter of jinn. Unless that alim can provide text supporting his accusation, it almost sounds like prejudice against jinn.
