as-salamu alaikum wr wb, Thank you sunni forum! last year, I was sitting in my room, I was searching online after really sitting down to read the Quran for the first time, and i was amazed by it. I wanted to find out more abut islam, and talk to real Muslims about islam, which I never really got the chance to do, i searched on google and came accross SunniForum. I joined as a non-Muslim and posted my story and my questions, and I was amazed how people responded so kindly and gave me great advice by the mercy of Allah. Alhumdulillah, I was on the forum and I stopped and took my shahaddah. Everyone was right there giving me good advice and resources to learn more about Islam. More than a year latter I still enjoy this forum and learning from my brothers and sisters, engaging in discussions, debates, and interesting topics. Thank you SunniForum for being a great tool! Thank you to all the members and everyone involved with this forum. May Allah guide us all and increase us in faith, and knowledge. Ameen.

I'll also also thank everybody at SF for making it what it is. This is the place where Islam was being discussed the in a way that I could connect myself with. Hard work put in by some people is very awe inspiring. The sheer amount of typing with coherent content that some members can do is also very surprising-I have seen times here when I was struggling with a few lines some people had posted a few posts! Of course the good work has to be continued so those brothers who have stepped back need to come forward again for this work can only be feesabilillah. Ignore the critics and keep your eyes on your reward with Allah . Diversity of people of different academic backgrounds is also very heart warming. So is the ethnic diversity. I never had such an experience in an Islamic environment earlier. May Allah amply reward you all. Specially the moderators who are discharging a very demanding duty. Wassalam |

Before encountering Sunniforum, I was a modernist and by my own understanding, a kafir as I rejected fundamentals of Islam and said things I wish I had not said (statements of disbelief). , after reading through old threads on Sunniforum, I became a muqallid of Hanafi madhab and hence, a non modernist who does not doubt the majority opinions Though I feel the forum has changed from lets say, 6 years ago, it is still intensely valuable to me and others and wallahi, I pray that all those who contribute and read it's threads are rewarded for this is the zaria (means) through which Allah has changed me, for the better Even though I am yet a faasiq, Sunniforum has been the difference of heaven and hell for me and I am grateful, may Allah bless us all and give us death with imaan, ameen |
