Salamu Aleykum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh,

is it better to pray the Sunnah Salah alone or is it allowed to pray it with a Jama'ah?
Lets say you have already pray 4 Raka Sunnah und 4 Fard for Dhuhr, you see some brothers
are going to pray the Fard prayer and you still have want to do the 2 Raka Sunnah after the Fard prayer.
Are you allowed to pray with them with the Niyya for the Sunnah Prayer?

It is stated in al-Hidaya (Hanafi): "A person offering supererogatory prayers may offer them following one who is offering obligatory (Fard) prayers." (because the need in his case is for basic salaah (that can be offered with an unqualified niyyah (intention)) and this is found in the case of the Imam (who is offering basic salaah and obligation in addition), thus, the construction is valid.)

And al-Fiqh al-Islam (Hanafi): "..while the person doing a nafl may stand behind the one doing a fard." (volume 1, page 154)
