Default Masjid speaker causing mistakes in salat
Salamu alaikum wr wb, this past monday, I visited a masjid that has a seperate floor for women. When the Imam lead salah, speakers were turned on in the womens room so that we could hear the Imam and follow him in salat. Between the two sujuuds in the third rakkah, we could not hear him say "Allahu Akbar", so we stayed in sujuud longer when he had already gotten up we didnt realize we were one movement behind until he did the rukkuh in the fourth rakaat. My question is:should we quickly do rukkuh (if we missed the Imam's rukkuh) and continue with him, and do we have to repeat the salat because of this mistake?

The muqtadi has to be with the imam in all postures except the qira'ah. This is irrespective of whether he carries them out with the imam, after the imam or before the imam - as long as the imam is with him till the end of that posture. Example of the first instance: he makes ruku, sajdah, etc. with the imam. Example of second instance: the imam makes ruku then stands up. Thereafter the muqtadi makes ruku. Example of the third instance: he goes into ruku before the imam, stays for so long in ruku that he even gets the ruku of the imam.

If the muqtadi is not with the imam in any particular posture, for example, the imam makes ruku and the muqtadi does not make, or the imam makes two sajdahs and the muqtadi only makes one, or he goes into a particular posture before the imam and does not get the imam till the end of that posture - for example, he goes into ruku before the imam and stands up before the imam can even go into ruku - then in all these cases, his following the imam will not be valid.

Taken from the Fiqh book, Heavenly Ornaments.

Assalamu alaykum

Under similar circumstances, if we have missed the "following of imam", but after recovery, what should be done.

1. Should we break the salah and rejoin the salah afresh and make up for the missed rakats
2. Or quickly makeup for the missed actions and join with the imam.

That is what sister is asking. Can scholars on SF please help her.

The problem is easily solved if there was a screen or partial view was available.
Agreed, the same thing happened yet again today. This time we were completely thrown off, not just one movement, so we just repeated the salah after. I went upstairs after the salat to see if there was anyone who looked in charge of anything that I could tell this problem to (other sisters, including my islamic studies teacher has been telling them for the last couple weeks but nothing has been fixed) We dont have an Imam right now so we are also temporarily without a single reliable leader to send suggestions for improvement to.
