As salaamu alaykum.
What are some of the more famous and, for you personally, heart-warming, awe-inspiring, or personally connecting, examples of Tawakkul (i.e. reliance and trust in Allah) that can be found in the Quran, Sunnah, and during the time of the Salaf? Some of the ones that immediately come to mind for me are: 1) The Tawakkul of Sayyidah Hajar (ra) when she was left with Ismail (as) near the Kabah without any (physical) provisions (and was then provided from Zamzam by her Lord). 2) The Tawakkul of Hadhrat Ibrahim (ra) when Nimrud threw him into the Fire, exhibited by his statement "Hasbiyallahu wa Ni'mal Wakeel." 3) The Tawakkul of the Muslims in various military engagements when they were outnumbered and ill-equipped. Any others come to mind for you? Please do share insha'allah. Jazakallahu Khair wa'salaam. |
