![]() You'd be surprised how many daily use products of all kinds are in one way or another made/owned by Israel. Everything from home cleaning to baby products to detergent to you name it is made/sold by Israeli companies, at least here in the USA. Procter & Gamble is an Israeli/Jewish owned company, and they own more or less everything sold in the USA (better believe it). Check out their page at http://www.pg.com/en_US/brands/all_brands.shtml to see what some of their brands are. I'm sure all of us use at least some of these brands in our lives on a regular basis without even realizing where they're coming from. I used to work in a large chain store (similar to Wal-mart) where they always ran promotions such as "buy $100 worth of Procter & Gamble Products and get a $25 coupon", etc. At first when I was new I was like "yeah, right, why would someone buy $100 of products from one company to get a coupon". However, as I studied the details of the advertisements and observed customers who I was ringing up at the cash register, I realized that one can basically buy ANY $100 worth of merchandise from the store and most probably it will be a P&G product and get you that coupon. That's when I realized how big P&G was and how drenched we are in Israeli made/owned products. Even the dates sold in regular & specialty stores during Ramadan (and at any time) are mostly imported from Israel. I found that out this past Ramadan when I purchased these amazing, big, soft, juicy dates from a Muslim (Arab) owned store this past Ramadan, the type of dates which are hard to find in the USA unless one of your friends/relatives happens to be in the Middle East and brings some for you... I asked him where these dates come from, he said "Israel". Then I started looking on the packages of the regular, small dates sold in grocery stores and 99% of them said "Product of Israel". So most probably most of us in the USA break our fasts with Israeli dates, does that mean we should stop breaking our fast with dates and use water or something else altogether? Something to think about. Brother, I don't mean to undermine your effort to try to block an Israeli product out of your life, I actually applaud it and wish more of us would do the same. My intention here is to try to make us all realize that we are all drenched in Israeli products one way or another, without even knowing it. ![]() ![]() |

![]() rather than trying to boycott ALL israeli products which will be very difficult to do, instead have a worldwide muslim campaign to boycott 10 israeli products which will be relatively easy to do. the whole muslim world boycotts the same 10 products. if this happens then a gap in the market opens which can then be filled by a muslim company. so all the muslims move from 10 israeli products to 10 muslim products of the same type. the muslim companies that produce the 10 products should only buy from and take work from muslim companies and staff. also muslim shop keepers should be encouraged to swap the 10 israeli products for the muslim products, which would be better for them anyway if their muslim customers are boycotting the 10 israeli products and also it will induce others to buy the 10 muslim products. so now we have made an impact against israeli products and we have strengthened muslim companies and muslim workers. after this we can boycott another 10 companies and so forth... |

![]() Your onto something here... A simple, practical approach, that can be easily implemented, especially if you wanted to boycott products regionally. (I think we're being a wee bit ambitious looking at this globally, but regionally, or nationally, this can really work, in my opinion.) Good, thoughtful & relevant post bro. ![]() |

![]() Probably we can start it here by listing the 10 day to day most commonly used products, and what are the alternatives made by Muslims for the boycotted products. It doesn't have to be expensive, but things we take for granted (soap, shampoo, etc). This is also important as we use the products to clean ourselves and then perform prayer. Having these products made by Muslims ![]() Then ![]() ![]() ![]() |
