Can you please name the Hadith that you are talking about? With the numbers of muslims living in the UK & France, why has this not happened there?
Is there many more muslims in this forum that would share your views on homosexuality & zina being the cause of earthquakes? What about Chile, a non muslim country experiencing earthquakes frequenty?

There is an authentic hadith from the collection of Ibn Majah wherein the Prophet (saaw) said that when illegal sexual intercourse becomes widespread, that this has not happened except that new diseases emerge and spread among people.

In terms of earthquakes, I do not know of a hadith which directly indicate that illegal sexual intercourse causes Allah to send earthquakes.

I live in Turkey and it is so sad seeing the affect of this quake. Turkey is still a Muslim country regardless of the government and in the past few years things have been changing. People still study Islam and children can learn Quran. Many universities are loosening their hijab bans and allowing girls in hijab to go to class without issue.

Turkey is on a major fault line which results in earthquakes ever 10 years or so.
The 1999 Izmir quake revealed the utter contemptuous negligence of the secular led government and military. This ushered in the rise of the AKP.
The AKP govt response to this week's earthquake is far superior to Izmir. Turkey has even declined foreign assistance.

Its quite noteworthy that Kurds have been complaining that the govt has not given them food or shelter only two days after the quake.
Except the Turkish military was preoccupied with fighting the PKK in the region.
