The Following is Saying Of The Respected Shaykh From The Website www.shaykh.org

What Is Sunnah

“The Sunnah is the way of Rasūlullāh sallahu alayhi wasallam, the life of Rasūlullāh sallahu alayhi wasallam, the method of Rasūlullāh sallahu alayhi wasallam, and the path of Rasūlullāh sallahu alayhi wasallam.

Rasūlullāh sallahu alayhi wasallam was sent by Allāh ta’ala as an example for all who are to come until the day of Qiyāmah. From this we can understand how perfect, complete and comprehensive his life was.

The life of Rasūlullāh sallahu alayhi wasallam is the criterion for haq (truth), and it is used to differentiate between haq and bātil (falsehood): what is in the Sunnah is haq; what is not is bātil.”

The Following is Saying Of The Respected Shaykh From The Website www.shaykh.org

Love For Every Sunnah

“One should have such love for the Sunnah that he wishes to emulate all of them, even those actions which may not be within his capacity to enact.

For example, to remain hungry for days on end is a sunnah, but not everybody has the capacity to perform this. However, despite not being able to observe such actions, a person should still have love and admiration for them.

Shaykh-al-Ḥadīth, Mawlānā Muḥammad Zakariyyā rahmatullahi alayh explains this with a beautiful example. He says,

‘The likeness of such people is like that of a diabetic. The diabetic will still have lots of love for sweet things, but because of his condition he will not be able to fulfil his desire.

Similarly, one should have love for every action of Sunnah even though his current capacity may not allow him to observe them.’”

The Following is Saying Of The Respected Shaykh From The Website www.shaykh.org

Creating Love

Listed below are some useful ways to help create true love for our beloved Prophet sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam:

“1. Recite durūd (salāt-‘alan-Nabī) at least 300 times daily. You may read any formula of durūd as long as it is from an authentic source. The most virtuous is the Durūd Ibrāhīmī, though who are not able to read it 300 times may read a shorter one. An easy method is to recite the short formula ‘sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam’, and to read the longer Durūd Ibrāhīmī after every ten of the short durūd.

2. Increase the recitation of Durūd on Fridays because the reward increases manifold.

3. Try to recite the compilation of forty salāt and salām from authentic sources of hadīth published by the IDA as a booklet entitled ‘Salāt and Salām’ daily. If you are unable to read it daily, then read it at least once a week on Friday.

4. Study the sunnah of Nabī sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam, and aim to bring every sunnah into practice.

5. Read the sīrah of Nabī sallallāhu ‘alayhi wasallam.”

40 Salaat And Salaam http://www.inter-islam.org/DuroodSal...-Salam-bw.html

It is reported by Hazrat Kaab Ibn Ujrah that once the Holy Prophet told everyone to come close to the mimbar, and so we did. When the holy Prophet placed his blessed foot on the first step, he said "Ameen". When he raised his blessed foot on to the second step he again said "Ameen", and in the same way again when raised his foot and placed it on the third step, he repeated for the third time "Ameen". On the completion of the sermon and alighting from the mimbar, we asked the prophet , "Today we heard from you something which we had not heard before". The Holy Prophet replied, " The angel Jibrael came before me and said ‘Destruction be to that person who found the month of Ramadhan but failed to attain forgiveness’, so I said "Ameen" and when I went on to the second step he said, ‘Destruction be to that person in who's presence you are mentioned and he does not send salutations upon you’, so I said "Ameen" and when I went onto the third step he said ‘Destruction be to that person whose parents have reached old age and he fails to gain Jannat by serving them’.
