Aha so if you see a person praying ten Raka'at of 'Asr you can't advise him on something so simple you need to take him to scholars... that is really not helpful, let's keep all the scholars aside and you tell me is praying five Raka'at a Bida'ah or not? can you pls answer that do you agree there are good and bad innovation? |

brother you asked me what i would do and i told you, if i see someone praying ten rakats and it is i my knowledge that no scholar has done this or allowed this or even if it is forbidden then i would tell the person this is a biddah according to my understanding and pls seek help from the ulama. if everyone decides what is biddah and not then the world would become dangerous therefore it is important that we seek help of ulama and scholars, brother why dont you talk about mawlid? So you would tell this poor sunni that it was a Bida'ah, that's good... after all the Prophet SAWS and his Sahaba (ra) prayed only four Raka'at and if we prayed five we'd be adding something new, an innovation. But now this sunni is not gonna accept that you are criticizing him, he's gonna argue back and say "But this is a good innovation! why shouldn't I pray a fifth one?" (You asked me what the definition of Bida'ah is and I gave it to you, all scholars agree on this definition even the Twelver Shia, now based on this definition I want you to come to your own conclusion, is Mawlid a Bida'a?) |

Peace,
I would like to add that I believe if I made a Wedw following the 5:6, then I'm not making Beddah, rather, I'm following the verse. Does anyone consider this a Beddah? 5:6 O you who believe, if you rise to hold the contact prayer, then wash your faces and your hands up to the elbows, and wipe your heads and your feet to the ankles; and if you have had intercourse, then you shall bathe. And if you are ill, or traveling, or you have excreted feces, or you have had sexual contact with the women, and you cannot not find water, then you shall select from the clean soil; you shall wipe your faces and your hands with it. God does not want to place any hardship on you, but He wants to cleanse you and to complete His blessings upon you that you may be thankful. |

1- are you saying biddah is only actions and events ![]() ![]() Hmm. plz let us know what type of Bid’ah (Bid’ah Sayyiah and Bid’ah Hasanah) mentioned in the following hadiths? Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76, Number 584: Narrated Anas: The Prophet said, "Some of my companions will come to me at my Lake Fount, and after I recognize them, they will then be taken away from me, whereupon I will say, 'My companions!' Then it will be said, 'You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you." Bukhari: Volume 8, Book 76, Number 585: Narrated Abu Hazim from Sahl bin Sa'd: The Prophet said, "I am your predecessor (forerunner) at the Lake-Fount, and whoever will pass by there, he will drink from it and whoever will drink from it, he will never be thirsty. There will come to me some people whom I will recognize, and they will recognize me, but a barrier will be placed between me and them." Abu Hazim added: An-Nu'man bin Abi 'Aiyash, on hearing me, said. "Did you hear this from Sahl?" I said, "Yes." He said, " I bear witness that I heard Abu Said Al-Khudri saying the same, adding that the Prophet said: 'I will say: They are of me (i.e. my followers). It will be said, 'You do not know what they innovated (new things) in the religion after you left'. I will say, 'Far removed, far removed (from mercy), those who changed (their religion) after me." Abu Huraira narrated that the Prophet said, "On the Day of Resurrection a group of companions will come to me, but will be driven away from the Lake-Fount, and I will say, 'O Lord (those are) my companions!' It will be said, 'You have no knowledge as to what they innovated after you left; they turned apostate as renegades (reverted from Islam)." ![]() |

Question to everyone,
Is Breastfeeding a Man is Bedaah. The issue of breast-feeding men is currently a hot topic in Egypt and has been the focus of the media in many Middle Eastern countries. It all started when Dr. Izzat Attya who is the head of the department of Hadith in Al-Azhar, which is the world’s most prestigious Islamic University, issued a fatwa, or religious opinion. The fatwa declared that, it is legitimate for a working Muslim woman to breast-feed her male colleague to avoid the sin of ‘khulwa’ (staying with a stranger in one room). Similar fatwas had been issued in the past by many sheikhs in many Middle-Eastern countries, but this is the first time it comes from a high level academic of Al-Azhar. |
