Default Teaching in a coeducational University : Halal or Haram ?
I have some friends who have got PhDs and are teaching in co-educational universities now. Their salaries are good , vacations are long and social prestige is also great !!

I am tempted to follow their path. However , I would like to know the Islamic
viewpoint on this.

I mean , when the female students are in the class or in the lab, how will I interact with them ?

By the way , I got the inspiration for this thread partly from the following thread.

I have found an interesting article about the effect of co-education on Oxford. An Oxford professor has given his own opinion about coeducation.

------

Returning to the reasons for Oxford’s downfall, Stone blames co-education as one of the chief culprits. ‘The women became terribly distracted and the men drank a little more when they were admitted into all-male colleges — they can be terrific maenads.
‘And then they settle in together in their rooms, get a microwave and a telly, and play housey-housey.
‘I remember at Jesus in 1972 when they voted on letting women in. Like so often, they said the right thing for the wrong reason. They were swayed by contempt.

‘I remember a man who lectured on the history of Russian revolutionary film. He said that women shouldn’t be admitted because they wouldn’t be happy to walk on the toast crumbs left by the Boat Club tea.

‘Toast crumbs!’ Stone booms with glee to the bemused passers-by walking down Garrick Street. Shortly after, he heads off in the same direction, past the Garrick and back to Ankara – Oxford’s loss, Turkey’s gain.

Ofcourse it is haram. Any social mixing of the opposite sexes is haram. Not only university, working in any office which have both males and females is employees is haram.

What is better a deendar brother teaching or someone with no relegion or moral teaching!! you decide. We live in a society where both male and female are out there. Perhaps your modest approach and wise word will be an example for others. Just connect yourself to a scholar no matter (you be an uneducated or educated individual).
We need more educated deendar muslim brother and sister then educated muslim with no deen in them
Everything is halal unless an act which may lead to haram.
Allahualam
The excuse of dawah-opportunity has been used by some people to justify their teaching jobs in a co-educational universities.
Is this a valid excuse ? what is the Islamic point of view on this issue ?

The history of co-education in the Western universities is not very old. I think, women started going to uni only after the second world war in a large number. This trend became stronger after the emergence of Feminism in 1960s.

Islam has a framework of teaching which gives us clear guidelines about how to teach women. I am wondering what and how that framework
will be implemented in this age when so many Muslim PhD students are looking for academic jobs in the universities where female students are enrolled due to Feminism.

The organization is perhaps the best method to support up the organizations. At the point when two organizations synchronize with one another, they do their best. As It is my exams in next month so I have to pursue cv services to get prepared for it. It is one of the incredible strides by both of the organizations to take better choices.
