Assalamalaykum,

I'm in the process of setting up and Islamic Website and I'd like to get a database of Hadith of all 7 major books.

I don't know where I can get it from.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

In my humble opinion, you will always have some biasness in the english works.
Rather enroll in madrassah and learn through the proper ways. OR stick to accepted compilations like Riyadhus Saliheen etc..

Leymen going into indepth ahadith on their own has already caused a lot of problem

Yes, I am in Madrasah but the Database I need is for a site I am developing and will be used to help the Muslims worldwide.

Why dont you make a database of these mutaffiq alayh compilations instead of bigger kutub like bukhari etc.. I think that will be more beneficial for aamatun naas.

As for your own use, get a copy of Maktaba Shamila, which is much more than jsut hadith database.. Its about 7GB uninstalled. (15GB when installed)

What is that?

Can anyone help me. Im looking for books such as 'provision for the seekers', Shama'il Tirmidhi. Basically, those hadith books which also have commentaries to explain the various views of scholars for the hadiths.

I have the two listed above and have found them immensely beneficial, purely in the way that the commentary has enhanced my understanding of the Hadiths.

Is there a Riyadh as Saliheen available(authentic translated verstion) which has commentary in it. I dont mind who the commentary is by so long as the person is authentic and genuine.

so if anyone can help me out, it would be greatly apprecited. im looking for both actual hardcopies and pdf/word etc format which I can download.

Sahih Bukhari
Sahih Muslim
Imam Malik’s Muwatta
Abu Dawud
Shamaa-il Tirmidhi

If anyone knows of a MySQL Database, that would be preferable. It would make it easy to transfer the hadith onto my site.

I intend on making a searchable Hadith Database for everyone.
Of course, it will have a disclaimer to warn against reading and taking the literal meaning etc... but I do need this fully functional facility on my site.

Inshallah, it will be a place where all 4 schools of thought can come to reference hadith or to search for a particular hadith which they heard about from someone else.

If I am to do this, I would need complete works of all 7 books rather than a smaller collection.
If I had a smaller collection, one could look up all the hadith related to a specific subject and think "that's all there is to it" and this may lead to overlooking a replacement hadith...

There are several scenarios which could pose problems with partial works and therefore I do need the complete books of ahaadeeth.

If anyone knows of a online resource which is trustworthy, please let me know.

Yes, I have emailed him and waiting for his reply.

Muhammad at SearchTruth.com has also agreed to give me the DB but I can't get hold of him anymore. He may be on holiday somewhere!
