You probably haven't got an answer as it's such a long answer.

Maybe you could make it easier by stating where you live. That way the members can suggest scholars in that area.

Wa AlaykumuSalaam,

There's Sheikh Sulaiman Ghani, Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf and Sheikh Akram Nadwi who are very well known (All from UK). Also, Sheikh Zahid Abu Ghuddah, The son of Late Sheikh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah, who resides in Canada I believe. I can't seem to think of any more 'popular' scholars.

Shaykh AbdurRahman ibn Yusuf
Fiqh al-Imam
Reflections of Pearls
Provisions for the Seekers
Salat & Salam: In Praise of Allah's Most Beloved
Prayers for Forgiveness

Translation of Prayers for Forgiveness (by Imam Hasan al-Basri )
Translation of Imam Abu Hanifa's Al-Fiqh al-Akbar Explained (by Abu ’l-Muntaha al-Maghnisawi, with Selections from 'Ali al-Qari’s Commentary)

Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam al-Kawthari

You'll find plenty of talks of the above scholars on YouTube too.

There's also:
Mufti Muhammad Sajjad
The Fiqh of Dawah

And there is Shaykh Zahir Mahmood too. I don't know if he's written any books, but his lectures are simply awesome. Just attended one in a mosque today on the love of Rasoolullah and ppl where in tears. I hope someone recorded it to put online.
Some of his lectures are here: http://www.kalamullah.com/zahir-mahmood.html.
You'll find more by doing a Google search, .

You can't go wrong with these Hanafi scholars they're young, dynamic and progressive, as well as having studied all around the world including the Arabia Peninsula.

Mufti Muhammad ibn Adam
http://www.daruliftaa.com/biography.asp

His books include;

  1. Islamic Guide to Sexual Relations (Must have for all today's young married couples)
  2. Birth Control & Abortion in Islam
  3. The Issue of Shares and Simplified Rules of Zakat

He has also published Shaykh Zakariyya Kandahlawi’s Wujub I’fa’ al-Lihya (The obligation of growing a beard) Shaykh Khalil Ahmad Saharanpuri’s Mabahith fi Aqa’id Ahl al-Sunna aka Al-Muhannad ala‘l-Mufannad (Discussions in the beliefs of the Ahl al-Sunna)

Mufti Abdur Rahman ibn Yusuf Mangera
http://www.zamzamacademy.com/about_us.php?option=2

Books have been covered in the previous post before yours.

They are both from the U.K. and I recommend you browse through their respective websites.
