This thread is dedicated to the great shaykh shah abdul qadir raipuri rh. If anybody has any material in English please post it on this thread
1) I don't think these days any place on earth is left where the message of Islam has not reached though the fact that people don't want to listen is something different, otherwise through media, the name of Islam has reached every one. Those who live in villages know it by meeting people of cities. Those countries where Islam has not reached is either because of our lack of Dawa,or our lack of resources to conquer lands and then spread the message.Suhaba, when they would reach a land would use translaters to preach Islam. Now,we can have this power only if we are self sufficient in modern weapons, only then we can gain success both in dunya and Akhera. 2) It looks like the sufia of previous times used to try and keep away from the governments of their time. Ulema and sufia should do the work of din even today but should keep away from government and elections. Those who gets involved in Elections can never be expected to do any useful deeni work. If someone wants to do work of din they should do it without undue advertisement and keep a safe distance from governments. |

3) Some one asked Hazrat that sometimes we can't do zikr with 'shadd' and 'mudd'(meaning can't put stress on dharbs (vigorous strikes etc). We just do it like the routine tasbeeh so is it still useful? Hazrat replied, keep doing it any way but if some jahr (loud zikr) and dharb (some sort of forceful movement) is used and one remains persistent in zikr then the mercy of Allah reaches him,one day.
A buzarg (saintly person) used to take the name of Allah but would repeated be told by elham (divine inspiration) that your zikr is not accepted. He would still keep doing his zikr. One day one of his mureed (seeker) received the same elham that the zikr of your shaikh is not accepted. The mureed told his shaikh and asked him why he worked so hard when his zikr is not even accpted. The Shaikh replied" to accept it or not is His decision,a banda (slave) has to do bandagi (slavehood),what other option does he have? And why should we interfere in His work. After a few days he was told in elham that 'All is accepted, don't worry'. So the fact is: weather we enjoy zikr or not, weather we see any visions or not,we must keep doing zikr, irrespective of all of these things. |

4) Hazrat said:"One should keep doing zikr until his soul (Rooh) becomes zakir. Some one asked how do we know that Rooh has become zakir? Hazrat replied:"When your attention is all the time focused on Allah swt, this means that the Rooh has become zakir irrespective of weather you are involved in some dunya (wordly) duties or in business(whatever your physical state might be) your mind should be concentrated on Allah swt just like if someone has headache or tummy ache he does all his works, but his mind is focused on the pain.".

5).Hazrat was asked about "Istiqamat"-consistency,The reply was: One should do so much zikr that unless he completes his wird (daily portion of worship) he feels disturbed as if something is lost and when he completes his wird he feels peace and ecstasy. When someone reaches this stage his whole being becomes 'tableegh',before this stage every thing comes under mujahida (struggle).
When one reaches this stage, then Allah swt guides him towards what he is supposed to do i.e. taleem, tabligh, writing books or whatever is best aspect of religion is suitable for him to serve. Sometimes it is by elham (divine inspiration) and sometimes through advise of his shaikh. |

7) Hazrat said people are not all of the same nature. For some brief (ijmali) sulook is better for others detailed ( tafseeli) sulook is better but the mureed should not occupy his mind in these things. A mureed should neither choose any particular halat (state) for himself and just leave himself to Allah as He knows what is best for everyone.
