Interesting video he's right they are and they are certainly on falsehood althrough i would recommend Muslims to unite and leave the discussions for a while.

Agree, but unity becomes difficult when you have groups with takfiri bent of mind like the Barelwis and extremist Salafis who appropriate the title of Ahlus-sunnah to themselves .

I was going to say exactly the same thing!
Right at the end it make it appears as if Shi'ah are an accepted part of Islam - even by Ash'aris - and as if they are despised only by the "bad Wahhabis"...

In general when discussing the various groups As'haris and Maturidis are counted and one, and the term "As'hari" gathers both of them..

I'm almost sure they are a minority, just a very loud and vocal one.

It's like feminism or atheism in the West. You'd think most Westerners are atheistic feminists by reading their writings, etc., but that isn't true. It's just that they are very vocal about their beliefs.

Then again, there is a big problem with what exactly constitutes "Salafism" that makes it hard to determine how common they are. Some Salafi ideas are very common amongst certain groups of people (for example, laxity or aversion towards following the Madhahib), but others are quite rare, to the point that most "card carrying Salafis" would not have heard of them or accept them (for example, many of their extreme literalist beliefs which border or cross into anthropomorphism).

What is the creed - in practice - at Azhar? Do they do all the group zhikr stuff like brelevis?

Group zikhr is not just conducted by barelvis but deobandis as well..!!

I cannot really tell what's different between Ash'ari and Maturidi anyway, it seems they agree on most things with only a few differences.

Overwhelming majority at Azhar...or the world?! Cos in 400 years they're probably only 2% of the ummah. Unless you're using the brelevi definition of 'wahabi' in which case they're already the majority!

One of the very basic difference is that Asharis believe there are 7 Sifaat-e-zaatiya while maturidi say their are 8

Keep on dreaming the Wahhabis (so called Salafists) will never become the majority they are a relatively small sect within the community they have some followers in the West but even in KSA they are not the majority the vast majority of Muslims are Ahlul Sunnah and are connected directly or indirectly to scholars/imams belonging to one of the four accepted Madhhabs and belong to the Creed of Imam Abu Hassan al Ashari and Imam Abu Mansur al Maturidi.
