I've been having waswas and I can't seem to control it. I am aware that waswas will never stop until we die. For the past 2 months I've been suffering from extreme anxiety.
I really want to be able to put an end to the waswas so I can focus on my life. So my question is how did you overcome waswas and how long did it last for? Any tips will be greatly appreciate.. Jazkir Allah khair.. |

![]() My first waswas was while doing wudu. I always doubted the number of times i washed my hand or feet. I sometime redo wudu 2-3 times. I don't remember how long it lasted. I started counting 1,2,3 then it stopped. Only later i understood this was Whispering of the Shaytaan. Then a major waswaas was i always had doubt i was commiting Shirk (auzubillah). This went for years. Sometimes i ignore it sometime it bothers me. Then i came across This book : Whispering of Shaytaan by Maulana Yunus Patel: http://yunuspatel.co.za/books-whisperingsofshaitaan.php Its a small book and it gave me a clear idea how to avoid waswaas. Only thing i had to do is to recite Quran and ignore the whispering. Also then i byhearted 'Ayatul Khursi' , which helped a lot. Then i came across specific Ayahs in the Quran that is to recited for protection against Shaytaan, debt, pest etc. Its called 'Manzil' : Pdf: http://www.mediafire.com/?vcm1uzjem1gh3zr Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoxtiDB4oXo and http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SWYTbIiUVF8 Summary: Read the book mentioned above. Recite Ayatul Khursi, Fathiha, and 3 Quls (Ikhlas, Falaq and Nas) Also recite Manzil. |
