![]() I've heard from many Ulema here in India that once chicken is slaughtered, its not recommended that it should be drowned in hot water to dress it. Some are even of opinion that it makes the meat makrooh e tehrimi. Process what happens here is firstly the bird is slaughtered, then once it is dead, it is drowned in hot water and feathers are removed from the body. later the bird along with its skin is cut into pieces... Is this what happens elsewhere, give you opinions and recommendations. ![]() |

![]() Use skinless instead. The chicken with skin is drowned in hot water (before cutting) which makes it doubtful (i suppose). Maybe a common practice in india. |

The solution he gave was to remove the innards of the chicken before dumping them into hot water. |
