Default Appropriate way of dressing chicken.

I've heard from many Ulema here in India that once chicken is slaughtered, its not recommended that it should be drowned in hot water to dress it. Some are even of opinion that it makes the meat makrooh e tehrimi. Process what happens here is firstly the bird is slaughtered, then once it is dead, it is drowned in hot water and feathers are removed from the body. later the bird along with its skin is cut into pieces... Is this what happens elsewhere, give you opinions and recommendations.

In my area, they do not use hot water. They slaughter, then wait for sometime for it to die. Then pull the skin out, cuts the feet out. Takes out the intestine and gallbladder. Chop into pieces and thats it.

Use skinless instead.
The chicken with skin is drowned in hot water (before cutting) which makes it doubtful (i suppose). Maybe a common practice in india.

Amaan I saw that in Chennai. That is the only place where I was asked whether I want my chicken with or without skin. At other places they dress it as brother Amr123 said.

This seems to be the best approach, but skin tastes too good and we get tempted to go for dressed chicken.

Unfortunately a chicken would look silly no matter what kind of clothes you put on it.

...Wait a minute...

I enquired with a Mufti and he replied that it would be Makrooh Tahreemi to consume such chickens as there is a high chance of contamination of the chicken meat with the impurities in the Gizzard, intestines etc.

The solution he gave was to remove the innards of the chicken before dumping them into hot water.

Does this really work? The Aalim whom I was talking to was telling that even when the stomach is cleaned, the birds are dipped into water along with their blood and that contaminates the meat as the meat is cooked along with the blood. So, in his there is a danger of two impurities, one as told earlier the fecal matter bladder and all, and second the blood.
