Generally we should not pay heed to who wins this Nobel Prize, since it is the choice of disbelievers, and they will select whoever they think propagates best the views of the disbelievers.
One thing that was interesting in the piece was: Ms Karman said the time has come for women to lead. "Saleh does not want to be overthrown by a woman and that is why he is holding on to power. History will repeat itself and the daughters of Yemen's Queen Sheba are here to stay and rule." I do not know why there are people from among the Muslim countries who are proud to refer to their Pharaonic heritage, or in this case to a heritage that is not entirely rooted in the Muhammadan Shariah. We know the story of the Queen of Saba' in the Qur'an but it is not necessarily a yardstick to measure the way people should act today. |

Salam alikum,
I think it is not worth to pay much attention to this prize. However I dont say anything against sister, believing she is aware of her duty for islam - I personally will watch her further steps - hopefuly she will not give her higab off, but opposite she will strengten herself, I have seen she was surrounded by many hijabi and niqabi sisters in Yemen. w salam |
