Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullah,

Assuming Tammatu',

Let's say you do something to incur the dam during stay at Arafat e.g. pull out a hair etc. Can you delay the extra sacrifice until 10th of Dhul Hijja (when you do your normal sacrifice)? Or does this sacrifice need to take place ASAP?

NB: I am not going on hajj this year but next year inshaAllah. But intelligence lies in planning.

Just to clarify,

When I say extra sacrifice - I mean fidyah
When I say normal sacrifice - I mean hadi
