Default Muslim friend for project
Asalamalakum brothers and sisters. Recently at school, we were given a project. You can work alone, 2 people, or 3 people. I usually work with my Christian friend. He is well behaved, smart, and focuses on work. Now my other friend, who is Muslim, says he should work with us because you can have 3 people. Now the problem is my Muslim friend is lazy and doesn't try his hardest. The project marks are very important for later. I would say no but he is a Muslim brother so my question is, would that count as a good deed if I let my Muslim friend work with us? My Christian friend says yes to anyone so he is not in the way. If it is then I will let him work with us because good deeds are more important than A+s

Jazakum Allah Kheir.

Abdullah bin Omar said that our Holy Prophet said,
'One who helps someone in his need, Allah helps him in his work, and one who removes any worry or trouble of any Muslim, Allah, in return, removes anyone of his worries on the Day of Judgment'.
(Abu Daud, Kilab-al-Adab, Bad-al-Muvakhat)

you should take him. When I did my project, no one was with me...perhaps they though this moulana doesn't know anything..so i took 2 non-muslim class mates with me who were detained..first I had to pursue them to come for project classes..But later they got interest..

At the end we three got class 2nd position with only one guy being the class 1st

You should try to motivate him, rather than thinking he is lazy

He mentioned that the muslim friend is 'lazy'. Being a lazy do you become a person in need ?

The difference between you as a Muslim and your Christian friend is that he has accepted your Muslim brother whereas you being a Muslim are rejecting your own kind!!! Wake Up!!!!
