Salaams. I received this bulletin on facebook that I thought Id share with you:
"Unbelievable!!!! Imagine if you remembered you didn't have wudhu while leading a group in prayer - would you have the courage to tell them to wait while you did wudhu again?! Here is Sh. al-Hudayfi, Imam of the Madinah Haram, realizing that he doesn't have wudhu, while leading hundreds of thousands of people, and tells them to 'Wait one minute...' as he goes to do his wudhu. ... This is a man who truly fears Allah over the fear of men.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=3hIiXawMlZU |

![]() MashaAllah. There is big lesson in this. The Imam feared Allah more than what people would have said. This is a clear example of Taqwa. SubhanAllah. He didn't think what thousands of people behind him would think nor was he bothered by what the thousands watching this on Tv would think but rather he chose to fear what Allah would think of him if he continued without Wudu. May Allah give all of us such Taqwa. Ameen. |

What to do if the Imam ceases prayer due to lose of Wudu. (SHAFI Madhab)
-Reliance of a traveller 1. Whenever the imam ceases his prayer because of his ablution (wudu) being nullified, or another reason, he may choose a successor to finish leading the prayer, provided the successor is eligible to lead the group. 2. If the group performs a whole integral(1) after the imam has stopped leading, then he may no longer choose a successor. (An "integral" in rulings concerning the person who gets ahead of the imam or lags behind him refers to integrals that are physical actions, such as standing, bowing, straightening up, prostrating, or sitting up between prostrations. It does not refer to spoken integrals such as reciting the Fatiha, or to remaining motionless for a moment in the various positions.)Condition of the successor: Any follower may be picked as the successor (O: even if he came late to the group prayer). If a latecomer, he leads the group beginning at the same point in the prayer where the imam left off. When he finishes leading them in their prayer, he stands (O: to finish his own), and indicates to them to cease following his leadership, or better yet, indicates for them to remain waiting for him (A: in their final Testification of Faith (Tashahhud)) until he comes to it after finishing his own rak`as. If he does not know which rak`a the imam was in, then he should observe (O: by looking left or right to see if the followers are sitting or) whether they are ready to rise. If they are, he rises, and if not, then he sits in a Testification of Faith. It is permissible for the successor to be someone who has not been praying with the group, provided he is picked in the first or third rak`a (if the prayer has four rak`as), though he may not be picked in the second or fourth rak`a (A: because the order of the person's prayer will not correspond to theirs, for such a person is not committed to the imam's order). The followers need not intend to follow the successor. They may each simply break off and finish alone. If the imam chooses someone but they put forward someone else, their choice takes precedence. So basically the Imam can choose a successor in such senario. Only problem is if the group behind performs a whole integral without the Imam, then no successor should be chosen. |

Watch The Live Broadcast Of Prayers From Makkah And Madinah Live Including 24 Hour Broadcast
Brothers And Sisters, I think there was something on the Respected Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy Bisht... if you look carefully you can see him trying to discover what is on the sleeve on the bisht. the reason for the change of tune was because he had to rush again to lead the congregation in Salaat. Which ever mosque you'd be in and if you were the imam and you made an error, you automatically start panicking and you can be heard breathing heavily. Its natural. The Respected Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy has the responsibility in leading thousands in congregation Although Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy Is Much Older Than The Other Imams. Whilst The Camera Is Turned Away, You can also hear Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy telling those behind or the responsible person behind what the problem was. They can't just put any substitute imam to lead the congregation. however sometimes in Makkah, Zuhr Salaat is lead by someother Shaykh Who Is Not The Main Imam. May Allah Grant Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy Barakah In His Age. Shaykh Mahir Once Did Sajdah Sahw During Taraweeh Salaat Last Year On The 16th Or 17th Night Last Year which we rarely see - shows hwo much concentration is needed whilst leading in the Grand Mosques. Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy Once Saw The Prophet SAW In A Dream Which Was.... That The Messenger Of Allah SAW Said To Him That He Should Carry On Leading At Masjid Nabawi. - This Was Possibly at a time when Sheikh Ali Abdur Rahmaan Al Hudhaifiyy was going to stop leading there. Allah Knows Best. ------------------------------------------------------- Its Amazing How We Rarely See The Imams Breaking Salaat For Some Reason Or Doing Sajdah Sahw In The Harams. Imagine The Amount Of Concentration That Is Needed. If The Mistakes In Salat Were Not Made In The Time Of The Prophet SAW Would We Have Even Known What To Do For Example When To Make Sajdah Sahw E.T.C And What Would Have Been Our Reaction If We Hadn't Been Taught That. The Life Of The Prophet SAW Teaches Us Each And Everything. Durood: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bh5_UAZ33sc |
