Default Nigeria Qur’an Project: 10 000 Qur’ans Required

:alham: we are beginning a new initiative to support such charitable causes that normally do not get much coverage or shown much importance however these are very important projects that many Ulama/NGO's are running the world over.

If you aware of any such initiative then let me know and we can highlight these projects so that we may help and assist in any suitable manner

The First such project that FRIENDS OF DEOBAND is undertaking is the Nigeria Qur'an Project run by the Majlisul Ulama SA

For details (incl. contact and banking) please see:

This is good Al Hamdullah, May Allah reward you.

Now from the website and blog you posted above it says:
THE COST OF PRINTING 10,000 COPIES OF THE QUR’AAN IN INDIA AND SHIPPING TO NIGERIA IS APPROXIMATELY R150,000 (ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY THOUSAND RANDS). [+/- US$20,000]
http://www.themajlis.co.za/index.php...haqq&Itemid=55

Now as far as I understand you can order a 20 ft container full of Qur'an from Madina for free and you only have to pay $3,000 shipping costs to anywhere in Africa

So why order from India where it costs 20,000 while you can get Quran from Madinah for free?

I think someone posted something similar here but cant find the thread
