Huzoor, it seems, is merely abul hussain playing around. Allahu a'lam. these paranoid ones are perfect examples of disturbed brothers who need help. May be Dr. Abu Tamim can suggest some ilaaj for them. too many brothers need tazkiyyah ilaaj these days and they are claimants of ahl tasawwuf... May Allah guide us all. |

I think someone should explain to the Shuyookh of Hadramaut the situation that exists in the West and the Sub-Continent, because them affiliating with jokers like the Radical Middle Way, Tahir ul-Qadri, Nazim Haqqani, etc. will only hurt their reputation here, and give their enemies more ammo against them. It's actually similar to the situation many Arab Salafis face, where they associate with Madkhalis and Ahle Hadith whenever they appear in the West/Sub-Continent, because those groups are the most numerous and proactive, while in actuality, they disagree with many of the fundamental principles of those groups. |

In the thread about Mufti Rafi Usmanis visit to Shaykh Mahmud Effendi some comments are even more absurd: http://www.sunniforum.com/forum/show...d-Efendi/page2 On the internet the rule is: the awwam grades and passes judgement on the Ulama. We think that we know better what is needed in the ummah than the Ulama because we know the "ground level". That the Ulama have knowledge about the situation, but has drawn other conclusions from it than us, is a thought that doesnt even cross our minds. We seem to question why Ulama X or Y doesnt "speak out" using harsh words against this or that tendency in the Ummah. Maybe the conclusion to draw from this should be that we should keep our mouths shut too.. just a thought. I am exactly the same way myself, i have opinions on virtually anything, obviously without a solid grounding for the opinions in most, if not all, cases. And this is a clearly visible tendency in the Ummah at large; the real Ulama are most often more reserved in their judgements than the laypeople. From this i can only draw the conclusion that the fault is not that the Ulama donīt know the situation or that they are cowards (may Allah protect us). It is us, the laypeople, who constantly voice our opinions on anything and everything who are at fault. Two principles are entirely lacking among us: 1. Have a good opinion of your fellow muslim. 2. Leave what doesnīt concern you. But if these two things were followed the entire muslim internet community would probably have to be dismantled |
