Does anyone here have any reliable contacts in New York ? Do you know any Muslim families or a masjid organization who would be willing to help a sister out with sadaqah/zakaat?

There is revert sister who is a close family friend to my family, she's in need of an operation and money to pay down for a suitable apt to move into before going for the operation. So far we have got half the money but still in need of more funds.

She would like to move out to a better place before she goes for the operation.
She would need money to cover her rent while she's away from work.

So I'm asking anyone here,please can you assist if you know of anyone who lives in or around NY, who would be willing to help her out until she can get on her own feet again.

Aside from my family, she knows no one else who would assist her and we are trying our best .

I don't know if this'll help, but i believe that mufti muneer akhoon db had a darul uloom of some sort in NY. It may be possible that you can contact them in reference to this converted sister etc. Hope this helps inshAllah.
