Yes, I imagine it is very difficult to be a Muslim In France. I hear also there is lots of discrimination against Muslims finding working there. People with the same qualifications are much more likely to get a job basically if they are non-muslim than muslim.

Definitely, Muslim are discrminated at works. It 's a problem for so many works when your name is Mohamed or Rachid, and i do not tell if you have the beard.

To be honest, it is similar here. However you are right, i feel like we are more 'united' in the UK than in France. I do not understand how French Muslims, which number 5 million could allow the Niqab ban to be imposed. Inshallah we would not allow such a thing here.
Tell me something, what is the religious observance like of French Muslims? Is it growing?
I think its certainly increasing in the UK. Muslims no longer hide themselves in the same way they used to. We always had the core of muslims who behaved in an appropriate way, but many of us didn't. Now its getting better. However there is wayyy too much criminal activity, drug-dealing etc. in the Muslim community which i absolutely hate.
Why? In UK the immigration is from asia (india,pakistan...) in france it's from North Africa ( algeria, morocco, tunisia) and countries under the desert( Mali, senegal...)
we lived under french colonization meanwhile asia was under england.
Historically,They have a different rapport to the religion, England is much more tolerant to the religions than france.
French colonization tried to make disappear islam in those countries, Algeria is the perfect example of that. they failed but they made all their policies in this aim.
England never wanted to do that to indians or pakistans.

This feeling is still here, you know what, french political always criticize english system.
They say that "laicité" or secularism is better that communitarianism.
when muslims ask for their right, they say we are not in britain, we do not live in communitariasim.

So policies want to ban any symbol of religion (i.e Islam) in public space.

For answering to your questsion It's growing but a little.
we are more educated than our parents, so we ask a better place in the society ,and this does not please to a part of the population.

I will add that we have so many guys "muslim educated" but they let everything about islam behind them. You have people who change your name
It's a minority but i won't think that this could happen in U.K

P.S: I hope you will understand me please correct me^^

My English teacher told me snails taste like snot. I think that should be enough for anyone to stay away from that... erm... delicacies.

Oh and the same guy also told me something like 70% of British population wouldn't even pass GCSE English. Though I think it's fair to say that he was slightly being rhetorical in his statement.
This is what we call 'english humour' ^^

Yes, most big companies are very accommodating. Sometimes they are given prayer rooms and other times, its just accepted that a small corner will be used by Muslims to pray at certain times. I can't say EVERY company does it, because I do not know. But alhumdulillah, my personal experiences with the people around me seem to suggest that Muslims can pray.
How is it in France?

Most of the time, we do not tell to the companies, we try to find an hidden place (carpark, stairwell). For Joumou3a, it is really a big problem.
