Bismillah
Assalamu alaikum WW I see many people talking about marrying a christian woman and the way they go with the struggle after the marriage and also losing the balance of deen when it comes to their children when brought up by non-muslim mothers and most of the times the children going astray without any deen. Anyway here is something I found from the life of Sahabahs (RA) after the demise of our beloved Prophet SAW from askimam. Looking at the era after the demise of Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلمa vast majority of the Sahaaba and Taabi’een disliked the idea of marrying a Christian or Jew because of the destructive implications which would arise therefrom. To such an extent that during the Khilaafate of Umar, when a few Sahaabah had married women of the book and this news had reached Umar, he issued an order that those sahaabah should divorce their wives. When this was the stance of those individuals who had the highest levels of Imaan, then how much more cautious should the people of this time and era be? http://www.askimam.org/fatwa/fatwa.p...74e8330a01b626 Perhaps we should learn from the noble Companions (RA) how cautious they were and we in turn risk our deeni life and therefore peace associated with it and also the children whom we should to be pious and sadaqa jariya. Allahu alam. |
