salam, i am fortunate to be presently residing in madinatul munnawwara. there are many pious people whom i have got to know but there are many more gems who hide themselves and do not reveal. theres the famous hanafi syrian shaykh muhammad awwaamah hafizahullah, who at present is ill. theres also molana ismail badat, abdus sattar afghani al-hanafi and many more. if you search you will find the gems.

AFAIK , Mowlana Ismail Badat ( RAH) has got khalifat from Mawlana Zakaria (RAH) , the famous author of the book " Fazael-e-Amal " used by Tablighi Jamat.

Can you give us more info about Abdus sattar afghani al-hanafi ? Who is his shakh ?

Can you give us more info about Abdus sattar afghani al-hanafi ? Who is his shakh ?

salam. shaykh abdus sattar afghani has been here for a long period of his life. he sits on the right hand side of the umbrellas shoe rack number 13. he teaches hanafi kitaabs but is very cautious as is the case with all hanafi mudarraseens. he only speaks arabic and pukhto(i think). there are also many others here who dont teach jaamia students due to fear of being spied upon. may allah save us all

Even if there are a good number of Sufi shaykhs in Makkah and Medinah, you will not track them easily. If someone related to a sufi shakh is living there , then that guy can help a visitor to meet that saint.
However, since this forum is a open forum and can be visited by anti-Sufi people living in Saudi Arabia
