These questions have been bothering me a lot recently. So if you have the answers, or know respectable sites with the answers, please let me know.

1) In modern day. If a non Muslim dies and he has heard of Islam, do they go to Hell?

b) What is the definition of hearing about Islam? What if he only heard about 'terrorist' Muslims on the news? And he never met a single one? i.e he had a completely erroneous idea of what Islam actually is.

2) In modern day. If a non Muslim dies and he has NOT heard of Islam, do they go to Hell?

3) Finally how does this all correlate with the 'fact' that according to a hadith (sorry i cannot give correct sources so please do correct me on this), at least 1 prostitute will go to Heaven (for giving water to a dog) and 1 mass murderer who had killed 99-100 people because he sincerely desired to repent.

q1) If someone has heard of Islam and are NOT of sound body and mind, e.g. mentally handicapped, or severely lack in education etc. e.g 'slaves, peasants', depending, they will go to Al-Araf? And if they ARE of sound body and mind, they go to Hell? EVEN if they have committed 'good' deeds in this world, e.g. looked after the poor, the needy, the orphans etc?

1)b I cant work out an answer to this from the link. Though perhaps it includes people who did not grasp the message of Islam?

2) If they keep themselves to themselves, do not engage in Shirk, they go to Ar'af?
Regarding this. What if I for example, was to give someone 'Dawah', i was to do a very mediocre job. Would i then cast them from a possible repose in 'Ar'af' into Hell? =/

The question you raise is impossible to answer, the sincerity of the heart of every human being
can only be seen by Allah and only He has the knowledge of this.
There are kuffar among believers and there are believers among kuffar.

On the Day of days, Allah Mercy will overrule His Justice.
All veils of self-deception will be lifted from every human being and then every man and woman
will fully know what they have earned.

It's best that we as humans leave Judgement to Allah and we should rather prepare ourselves
for it in the best possible way.

2) In modern day. If a non Muslim dies and he has NOT heard of Islam, do they go to Hell? They will be asked about Tauheed. But no one can answer this question for sure. Ask mufti.

1 and 2 Yes. Theres some discussion however, one when can you say that one has "heard" about Islam? Some go too far in giving excuses, others dont at all. Allah swt knows best.

3- Killing, being a prostitute, are sins. Sinners can enter heaven if Allah swt forgives them. Also theres the story of the woman, going to hell who caged a cat til it died without feeding it, nor letting it feed itself. Also know, that some sinners, that are believers, who werent forgiven, can enter hell, be purified, and come out from hell, and enter heaven.
