![]() So many Islamophobic and redneck comments on that page. Those sisters did violate safety rules and I agree that the authorities were right in escorting them off the property. The authorities had apparently forewarned the event organizers and either they failed to forward the safety rules or the sister failed to obey (in which case it is 100% her fault). There are times when authorities do act in an Islamophobic manner. This was not one of those times. |

Oh my gosh, that is really sad that you are serious & so incredibly ignorant. There is NOTHING in the Qur'an that commands women to hide their faces. What is wrong with you? There is nothing un-Islamic about showing her face. You must not live in the United States. I wasn't as fortunate to be born with all the information and knowledge of the world. If I show you in the Quran then you will accept it? Secondly, it's not very nice to show your FACE to the whole world. It's your beauty, it's valuable, you can't show it to everyone. Would you carry your money out in the open or hide it inside a locker in the bank? |

No, I said "You must not live in the United States." in response to the member named Taliban who stated, "Who told her to go to amusement parks displaying her face in the first place? That's not very islamic." No where in the Qur'an does it states that it is a requirement in Islam for a woman to cover her face. We also know this from the fact that covering up ones face when on Hajj or Umrah is not allowed. Now, if a woman chooses to do so....that is up to her...but Islam does not require it. I wasn't commenting on the availability of cheese in Kazakhstan

It means since you are not in USA that is why you are so ignorant, evil and jungli that you make women wear Niqabs. Don't try to change the subject. I didn't say that you're evil & jungli. I said you're ignorant because I know for a fact that Islam does not require women to hide their faces. Everything but the face, hands & feet should be covered. When we go to Hajj or Umraah we're not supposed to cover our faces. Get the facts straight. |

Because you have no first-hand experience of Islam in America, what the American mentality/culture is or what it's like being a Muslim in America. It's completely different over here from the Middle East. Things are not the same over here as in the M.E. ![]() Sis, that doesn't mean what he says is incorrect. If he doesn't know what the US is like, it does not change the ruling regarding niqaab as the ruling is the same everywhere. Regarding what the actual ruling is, the majority of scholars have always deemed it to be waajib. The proofs for this are found in the four sources of Sharia: Quran, Sunnah, Consensus and Analogy. This has been discussed numerous times on this forum, please feel free to search for the threads. According to the deductions made by using these four sources, we come to the conclusion that niqaab is waajib. Very simple. Regarding the ruling of niqaab in Umrah or Hajj, you are correct, the face is not covered. But this is an exception to the rule and the scholars have always mentioned this and explained the possible reasons behind this ruling. This does not change the GENERAL rule that niqaab is waajib The sister mentioned in the news article was not on Hajj or Umrah so niqaab would probably still have been waajib for her. I agree that it is not neccessary to point that out when the ruling of niqaab has nothing to do with the story, however and should not have been mentioned ![]() |
