The major reason why we have seen this evil sin being perpetrated by so many here in SA is due to the fact that our beloved Ulama have taken their disagreements and in-fighting public through various Media (print, radio), this public exposures then leads to the ordinary man in the street with allegiance to either party voicing his support for whom he believes to be right.
This partisan behaviour is then seen as disregard and disrespect to the ‘other side’ who are Ulama.

Sad state of affairs indeed.

Yes, I was shocked when I read of some South African scholars (one in particular...) attacking other scholars and then the other scholars responding back in kind, with subtle jabs and insults. Ulama should not do this. If they have an issue with another, have a one on one conversation and clear things out. This is not the age of snail mail where it takes too long to get responses or where mail gets lost. All it takes is a phone call or an email.

A sign of deaseasd heart and definate sign of mahroom of Allah's blessing. I have seen Jahils who thinks after wathcing the likes Islam channel or reading a few book here and there adopting such stance.
In the age of superficiality, anything and everything goes as longs as it penders to a ones ego.
The ulema of today also have much to answer for. I for one do not think we have many scholars of high calibre in UK. Our asian and arab culture is still too imature to articulate concern in an intelligent manner.
No true alim will talk or say things that causes confusion amoung the people. Hikmah, ilm and humility are the signs of a true alim.
Allahualam
