"Allah - there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of [all] existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is it that can intercede with Him except by His permission? He knows what is [presently] before them and what will be after them, and they encompass not a thing of His knowledge except for what He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and their preservation tires Him not. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."

so many I love.. I reckon these are just a few that I remember more often than others. He said: "And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, but such as go astray? (15:56) Say: "O my Servants who have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. (39:53) See ye the water which ye drink? Do ye bring it down (in rain) from the cloud or do We? Were it Our Will, We could make it salt (and unpalatable): then why do ye not give thanks? (56:68-70) Truly Allah loves those who fight in His Cause in battle array, as if they were a solid cemented structure. (61:4) Translation of Yusuf Ali. |

For Taking/ Not taking ...And whatsoever the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) gives you, take it, and whatsoever he forbids you, abstain (from it) , and fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is Severe in punishment (59:7) For Judge But no, by your Lord, they can have no Faith, until they make you (O Muhammad SAW) judge in all disputes between them, and find in themselves no resistance against your decisions, and accept (them) with full submission. (4:65) For Ideal Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (Muhammad SAW) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes in (the Meeting with) Allâh and the Last Day and remembers Allâh much.(33:21) For Love Say (O Muhammad SAW to mankind): "If you (really) love Allâh then follow me (i.e. accept Islâmic Monotheism, follow the Qur'ân and the Sunnah), Allâh will love you and forgive you of your sins. And Allâh is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful." (3:31) For obedience He who obeys the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), has indeed obeyed Allâh, but he who turns away, then we have not sent you (O Muhammad SAW) as a watcher over them. (4:80) |

Mash'Allah, what a beautiful thread and your first 'noobie' post as well!
Welcome Br Faizzul. For me it is... "On no soul doth Allah place a burden greater than it can bear..." (Surah Baqarah:2, Verse 285) When I think things are difficult I try to remember this verse in conjunction with the following hadith: Narrated By Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “If Allah wants to do good to somebody, He afflicts him with trials.” (Sahih Bukhari Vol. 7, Book 70, #548) Although, as has been mentioned before picking one verse is always difficult. |

"So fear Allah, and obey me.
"No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds. The reality and foundation of the message of Islam, is found in the first verse, which is articulated by the numerous Prophets in Surah Ash-Shuarah. This verse really is the root, and forgive me for saying this, is the embryonic concept of Quran and Sunnah. The verse thereafter goes on to mention the strategy and selfnessness of the Ambiyaa; all in all these verses refer to Quran, Sunnah and Tasawwuf. |

And some more of my favourite verses
191. Do they indeed ascribe to Him as partners things that can create nothing, but are themselves created? 192. No aid can they give them, nor can they aid themselves! 193. If ye call them to guidance, they will not obey: For you it is the same whether ye call them or ye hold your peace! 194. Verily those whom ye call upon besides Allah are servants like unto you: Call upon them, and let them listen to your prayer, if ye are (indeed) truthful! 195. Have they feet to walk with? Or hands to lay hold with? Or eyes to see with? Or ears to hear with? Say: "Call your 'god-partners', scheme (your worst) against me, and give me no respite! 196. "For my Protector is Allah, Who revealed the Book (from time to time), and He will choose and befriend the righteous. |

Surah Nisa
Allah intends (through this Qur’an) to explain to you (the rules) and to guide you to the ways of those (prophets who passed) before you, and to turn graciously towards you. Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise. (26) Allah intends to turn graciously towards you, while those who follow desires want you to deviate (from the right path), a huge deviation. (27) Allah intends to make things easy on you. And man has been created weak. (28) Surah Yaseen Salam ”(Peace upon you) is the word (they receive) from Merciful Lord. (58) Surah Hashr Had We sent down this Qur’an to a mountain, you would have seen it humbled, burst apart out of awe for Allah. We cite such examples for people, so that they may ponder. (21) He is Allah, besides whom there is no god, the Knower of the unseen and the seen. He is All-Merciful, Very-Merciful. (22) He is Allah, besides whom there is no god, the Sovereign, the Supreme-In-Holiness, the Safe (from all defects), the Giver-Of-Peace, the Guardian, the All-Mighty, the All-Repairer, the Sublime. Pure is Allah from what they associate with Him. (23) He is Allah, the Creator, the Inventor, the Shaper. His are the Most Beautiful Names. His purity is proclaimed by all that is in the heavens and the earth, and He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise. (24) |

Asalamu alaikum,
I have a few favourites, but here are two... The first is Surah as Sharh for its theme of reassurance: 94:1 Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 94:2 And We removed from you your burden 94:3 Which had weighed upon your back 94:4 And raised high for you your repute. 94:5 For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 94:6 Indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 94:7 So when you have finished [your duties], then stand up [for worship]. 94:8 And to your Lord direct [your] longing. and the second one is Surah Rahman (55)...for its list of blessings and mercies bestowed unto us non-deserving humans. How can anyone deny the existence of Our Rabb after reading this? " So which of the favours of your Lord would you deny" |

" Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny" "Whosoever is in the heavens and on earth begs of Him (its needs from Him). Every day He has a matter to bring forth (such as giving honour to some, disgrace to some, life to some, death to some, etc.)!" |

my favourite Al-quran verse. Those verses are beautiful. They really make one cry. "And Allah sets forth, as an example to those who believe the wife of Pharaoh: Behold she said: "O my Lord! Build for me, in nearness to Thee, a mansion in the Garden, and save me from Pharaoh and his doings, and save me from those that do wrong" (66:11) |

Waalaikumsalam warahmatullah hi wabarakatuh, thank you for the reply... keep 'em coming!
"And when My servants ask you, [O Muhammad], concerning Me - indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided." [2:186) I'm absolutely in love with this verse! |
