I can't read things like these, I never read them. I can't sleep for nights if I read these things, I can't do anything If I read these things. I just skip these.

Well what happened in Baghdad is.... I wish Qayamat comes very quickly and Allah punishes them the same way the tortured our Brothers and sisters!

I too wish I didn't read this and I always end up reading such articles and watching videos which has made me hate this dunya and leaves me with frustration and anger seeing all these things happening to the fellow muslims and I am here with my inability to help them. Even if I can it would be nothing for the sufferings people are going through. It is horrible to live seeing and reading all this.

This happened long ago, about 4-5 years ago. We Sunnis lost this war to the Shias the moment the Iraqi Sunnis got help from no one and the Iraqi Shias got help from Lebanese, Iranian, and other Twelver Shias.

Just as was the case with the Arab-Israeli struggle where the Jews in spite of their lesser numbers cared about one another and did everything to make the Israeli nation a reality, the Twelver Shias stuck together, helped each other, and had a greater sense of brotherhood with each other.

Is this what happend? As far as I am concerned the sunni mujahideen sold there fellow brothers for a mere $300 - $500 per month.

Salam,
I agree it is too painful to read especially when you feel helpless like there is nothing you can do. for those who want to help some of the refugees, you can find stories of their suffering here

http://iraqistories.wordpress.com/

On the home page of that blog there is a link to contact to offer assistance (financial or other)
(click on "home" at the upper right hand side of the linked page and a contact link will show up at the bottom of the home page)
Note: this is not my blog and I'm not affiliated with it in any way

Land of iraq will always have turmoil and flourish. It was the centre of civilisation and as such will always attract good and bad! Such are the ways of dunya.
At the same time, let us not forget what happend to the Kuwaitis muslimah when they got raped by seciton of iraqi army!!
I can't believe that in 2011 intelligent muslims can make such statements.

What happened in Kuwait was indeed a travesty. Some ignorant Muslims blame Kuwait for accept assistance from America and British to liberate them from the Iraqi army. They say "how could Kuwaiti Muslims seek the assistance of Christian Americans to fight fellow Iraqi Muslims?"

The premise is wrong though. The Iraqi regime was Baathist. Baathism is against Islam, and they hold the status of Zanaadiq.

One thing that is interesting is that in the latter days there will be a great war, in which Muslims and Christians will be temporary allies. In this war, the Muslims and Roman Christians will be victorious, but when the Christians attribute the victory to the cross, it will create a rupture in the alliance, and there will be another war between the Muslims and Christians. It is said this will occur during the time of Imaam Mahdi

The point is, Muslims and Christians will obviously be united against an enemy that is neither Muslim, nor from the People of the book. They might be following some communist/socialist ideology, as in the case of the Baathists, or they could be another religion such as Hindus, Buddhists, or the Chinese. And Allaah knows best about it

I have work collegues who was there during Saddam invasion into kuwaiti territory. Lot of local women got raped!!
Modern army in general no matter where they are form are bit like animal.
Bro,with all due respect ask them to produce a single woman that was raped.kuwait was probably the biggest fraud in recent times.the pretext for the intervention was a moving speech to u.s. congress by a kuwaiti girl who with tears and the works described the rapes and how her friends tongue was cut-off and how she escaped e.t.c it was later discovered that she was the ambassadors daughter and she was living in the U.S. kuwait is a country in which only about 30% of the land is occupied in a small geographical area. The other 70% of the country is occupied and under the control of the U.S millitary.kuwait with complicity of the kuffar, was stealing iraqi oil.besides kuwait is supposed to be part of iraq.

Abdul Qadir, who passed away with a Qur'an in his hand at the hands of the enemies of Allah? Saud/Abdul Aziz/Fahd or Saddam Hussein?

Does it justify Saddam Hussain's invasion of Kuwait that he died with a Quraan in his hands? Does it justify his promotion of the kufriyyah system of Baathism - which is a mix of fascism, socialism, nationalism, communism, and all the other isms that have nothing to do with Islam? Does it justify his ruthless oppression of his own people?

I say may Allaah forgive and have mercy on Saddam Hussain. But it can never change the fact that the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait was pure evil, and people of Kuwait should be grateful to Allaah that He saved them from it.

Iraqi widows face financial struggle : http://www.google.com/hostednews/afp...d9e33468b7.5a1

Next time don't forget to 1) make du'a for all muslims 2) make shukr you're living in ease in the West.
