![]() When does Salatul Lail or Tahajjud prayer times start? Some says that it may be performed in the early part of the night, the middle part, or the later part . but other says no just the third part. Sleeping is a must condition for Thahjjud? or you can say without caring for these conditions? Is it permissible to perform them just before Fajr prayers? and, once you start you will be suppose to say regularly? If some bro/sis can tell me about Tahajjud prayers...I am been to different opinions so, want to clearify. ![]() |

![]() The time for Tahajjud is from Isha to Fajr Some says that it may be performed in the early part of the night, the middle part, or the later part . but other says no just the third part. It can be performed at any part of the night, but The best time to perform it is Last third of the Night. More specifically the middle third of the latter half, ie if on divides the night into 6 parts ,the best time for tahajjud will be the 5th part . Abu Hurairah reports that the Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Our Lord Descends to the lowest heaven during the last third of the night, inquiring: `Who will call on Me so that I may respond to him? Who is asking something of Me so I may give it to him? Who is asking for My forgiveness so I may forgive him?"` Related by Bukhari and Muslim. Amr ibn Abasah reports that he heard the Prophet (saws) say: "The closest that a slave comes to his Lord is during the middle of the latter portion of the night. If you can be among those who remember Allah, the Exalted One, at that time, then do so." Related by al-Hakim, at-Tirmidhi,Nasa`i and Ibn Khuzaimah. Sleeping is a must condition for Thahjjud? or you can say without caring for these conditions? I ve heard both opinions, that sleeping is necessary and it is not necessary. But it is more rewarding to have a nap before doing Tahajjud. Is it permissible to perform them just before Fajr prayers? Yes, Before the Fajr adhan as far as i know. and, once you start you will be suppose to say regularly? `Abdullah bin `Amr bin Al-`As (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said to me, "Do not be like so-and-so O `Abdullah! He used to pray during the night, then stopped the practice.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. More: http://qa.sunnipath.com/issue_view.asp?id=1241 |
