![]() The location is Sunfresh store, Green Street, London. The video speaks for itself, I can't believe these 'muslim' men called the Police on this brave sister. May Allah (swt) protect and strengthen her, ameen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rrfNSZ_DCM |

Salam
Brave sister? Honestly, are you kidding me? I think she was behaving extremely foolishly and all her behaviour was totally uncalled for. If she wanted to give advice, fair enough she could have done that in quiet and left it at that. What on Earth is the point of making a drama and bad mouthing the brothers, spoiling their dignity and exposing their 'sins' (is it categorically even decided as haraam?) for all the world to see? Emotionaly motivated and nothing less than silly actions which I totally condemn. Her attitude is extremely poor and there is absolutely no hikmah nor any adab in her work. Any sane person in their right mind would have been annoyed at her. News flash: not everyone is as practising and Allah conscious and full of taqwa as we'd like and people are at different levels. Going in and lecturing someone, making a mockery of them in front of everyone in their own store is obviously going to prove counter productive. Honestly man. |

![]() This is a good initiative by the sister ![]() It seems in the end the uncle that runs the store accepted to stop stocking those dates, so in my opinion (easier said than done though) it would have been wise to talk directly to the boss rather than the youngsters; and may be arranging things in private would have made the guy think twice rather than confronting him in public with shouting, this is what annoyed me in the video. |

there is a way and means to speak to people. rudeness and trying to force people into something will cause them to be pushed away from Deen. He should have been addrssed politely, and then left to it. He should NOThave recorded and then posted all over utube. That is not justified, and Allah knows best, but i dont feel that this was Islamically correct. Persoannly i think the isster went about it completely in the wrong way.
Question of haya comes into play aswell, shouting in the shops and middle of street. He could have been addressed in a far more polite and effective manner |

The sister only raised her voice after a few minutes, and before that whilst she was calm the man hit her phone.
It appears by the comments he made he was aware that the dates were Israeli. Also we can't assume that the sister did not try to talk to the store owners prior to this incident. Agreed perhaps not the best way to convey her message however there is no justification how the man behaved and some of the comments he made. At least in the short term it was effective as he appeared to remove them from the shelf? Allahu alam. |
