Default About the word "Insha Allah"

When somebody says that he will be there for 5 minute inshaAllah and he gets there after one hour, is he sinful considering if he does it intentionally.

I don't know the answer. But Your question reminded me of this beautiful hadith:

Abdullah bin Ebil Hamsa reported: “Before he was blessed with prophethood I traded with the Messenger. I owed him some money and promised that if he waited I would bring him the money. I forgot my promise; when I remembered three days later I went to where I had spoken to Prophet Muhammad SWS and found him waiting in exactly the same place. Although he had waited for such a long time he did not reproach me, all he said was: ‘You have caused me some trouble, young man. I have been waiting for you for three days.’” (Abu Dawud)

I heard Shaykh Hamza Yusuf mention it once and thought i'd share.

I don't believe so because is not an oath or a promise. I tend to use for things I would like to occur, such as, " my broken ibaadaat in this blessed month are accepted and my faults and mistakes are forgiven." Why would I say it for something that I do not wish to happen? is closer to a du'aa.

According to the scholars of the Hanafi fiqh it is not binding as an oath so you would not be sinful

It's the norm these days to say that and to use 'Wallahi' as a fashion.

May Allah guide these ignorants, Ameen.
