Some other facts (that mainstream media will never disclose) about* "Gaddafi and Libya: * - Loans*to Libyan citizens are given with NO interest.- Students would get paid the average salary for the profession they are studying for.* - If you are*unable to get*employment the state would pay the full salary as if you were employed until you find*employment.* * - When you get married the couple gets*an apartment or house for free from the Government.* * - You could go to college anywhere in the world. The state pays*2,500 euros plus*accommodation and* car allowance.* - The cars are*sold at factory cost.* - Libya does not owe money, (not a cent) to anyone. No creditors.** - Free education and health care for all citizens.** * - 25% of the population with a university degree.* - No beggers on the streets and nobody is homeless (until the recent*bombing).* - Bread costs only $0.15 per loaf.* No wonder the US and other capitalist countries do not like Libya. Gaddafi would not consent to taking loans from*IMF or World Bank*at high interest rates. In other words Libya was INDEPENDENT! That is the real reason for the war in Libya! He may be a dictator, but that is not the US problem. Also Gaddafi called on all Oil producing countries NOT to accept payment for oil in USD or* Euros. He recommended that oil get paid for in GOLD and that would have bankrupted just about every Western Country as most of them do not have gold reserves to match the rate at which they print their useless currencies.* Remember the last time someone had the “NERVE” to make a similar statement* was when Saddam Hoosein advised all Opec countries not to accept payment for oil in US Dollars. Well, we all know what happened to him . Yes, they HUNG HIM. * |

Interesting points.
Regardless of how Gaddafi is, NATO still has not helped the situation by bombing Libya. They've just helped kill more Libyans. I guess it is similar to Iraq. It's time countries stay out of others internal conflicts when they try to get involved for their own interests. Case in point, NATO intervenes in Libya while Assad is massacring the Syrians and all they do is condemn it... Not saying bomb Syria, but they can't not get involved in Libya and ignore Syria. |

I did ask one of the Libyan brothers on this forum about this email, below is his response:
Yes some of these stats are true. But about there being no beggars.. 50% of the population is unemployed and about 30% are living under poverty line. And it is not true that you get paid full wage until you find work. Also, there is noone homeless now in Libya as a result of NATO, the thousands of people who have been displaced have all been made homeless as a result of Gaddafi's troops indiscriminately targetting civilian homes. Although the healthcare is free, the quality and standards is terrible. The reason that the country doesnt 'owe' anyone anything is because it is a socialist country, and just like Russia and China everything is state-owned. Gaddafi and his people have been stealing allthe money from their oil exports and that is why they are ridiculously rich. Libya really should be one of the richest countries in the world, and Libyans in essence should be one of the richest populations on Earth and this is a fact. But because of the Gaddafis the country is poor and only his family and his supporters are rich. Gaddafi's own value is estimated at around £80 BILLION. That just goes to show what a greedy dog he is. During the time of the United Kingdom of Libya, Libya was at its peak. If you look at pictures of it, just look at how modern it was. Everyones wearing nice suits, and driving nice cars. Everyone was allowed to practice their religion properly without fear. Also, under King Idris the strength of the Libyan Dinar to the English Pound was £2.50 = 1 libyan dinar. Thats a fact. Also, gas was very very cheap and every house had a steady supply of electricity and gas, whereas now gas is extremely expensive. Also, you gotta remember that there are plenty of reasons why Gaddafi should go. Just like there were plenty of reasons why Saddam went, and not just because they didnt want to be paid in dollars. |

This is a video on TV where they discuss why theres an increasing large number of beggars.
http://www.youtube.com/v/WFpufHp76Ps Al Qaddafi is really nuts and not to be taken seriously. I really do think he has some kind of mental problems and its pretty clear when you see him talk and how he presents his ideas as if he were a philosopher. Ridiculous interpretations of the Qur'aan and not only that. He changes Quranic verses. For instance, he said about the verse "Qul Howa Allahu Ahad" .. that "Qul" (which means Say) is not a part of the Qur'aan, because Allah is saying Qul Ya Muhammad.. Howa Allahu Ahad. So the verse is only Allahu Ahad. lol Similar things he says on TV are countless. This speech will never be forgotten. (Notice in the end where hes speaking from, sometimes he'd give a speech from the roof etc lol ) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u34PA...eature=related Of course theres the famous video of "Zenga Zenga" too which some made into a song mocking him which has millions of hits on youtube lol I know he has commited terrible crimes, but in a way I do feel bad for him because I do think he has some mental problems and shouldnt be in his position in the first place. For the very same reason, many were ashamed of him, especially when he gets on TV to market his "green book" as the only solution to all of the problems in the world and when he refers to himself as "The king of kings of Africa". Husni Mubarak used to address him like that, as if he were talking to a child to make him happy. lol Of course he views himself as a hero, always reminding that he has millions of followers in the world, including in Latin America! For the same reasons related to his mental state they he was willing to bomb people from planes, and of course he always has a way to justify things in his head. |
