Default Du'a during a frightening situation
Fearing People
Allaahumma innaa naj'aluka fee nuhoorihim wa na'udhu bika min shuroorihim.
Oh Allah, we ask you to restrain them by their necks and we seek refuge in you from their evil. [Dawud 2/89, Al-Hakim 2/142]

Meeting an Adversary
Allahumma Anta adudi, wa Anta naseeri, bika ajoolu, wa bika asoolu, wa bika oqaatilu.
Oh Allah, You are my strength and You are my victory. For Your sake I go forth and for Your sake I stand firm and for Your sake I fight.
[Dawud 3/42, At-Tirmidhi 5/572]

"Du'aa at the time of Fear"
is published on a card by Islamc Da'wah Academy (Leicester)
I cannot find it online in Arabic, if anyone can find it please add here

Read the following in abundance at the time of fear, grief, distress. Insha Allah fear will be removed and saftey from every calamity, terror and oppression will be removed:

Laa-i-laaha illallaahul 'Atheemul Haleem (There is no deity except Allah, most Great and forbearing)
Laa-i-laaha illallaahu Rabbil 'Arshil 'atheem ( There is no deity except Allah, Lord of the exalted Throne)
Laa-i-laaha illallaahu Rabbis Samaawaati wa Rabbil Ardhi wa Rabbil 'Arshil Kareem
(There is no deity except Allah, Lord of the Heavens, and Lord of the earth, and Lord of the honoured Throne) - Bukhari and Muslim

For Protection of One’s Religion, Life, Offspring, Family and Wealth
(Seven times)
بِسْمِ اللهِ عَلٰى دِيْنِيْ وَ نَفْسِيْ وَوَلَدِيْ وَاَهْلِيْ وَمَا لِيْ
May the blessings of the Name of Allah be on my religion, myself, my offspring, my family and my possessions.(kanzul Ummaal vol. 2 pg. 636)

Protection from Evil Destiny and Difficulties
(Recite seven times)
Rasulullah (sallellaho alaihe wasallam) said: “O people! Seek refuge in Allah from severe calamities, and from the grips of ill-hope, and evil destiny and from the taunting of enemies.”(Severe calamities mean that a person is unable to cope with a difficulty as a result of which he desires death).

And do not forget Prophet Ibrahim (as)'s dua when he was tossed into the fire by idolators.

حَسْبُنَا اللَّـهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
"Hasbunallahu wa ni`mal Wakil''

"Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs."
