Default Differences in Jamaats
I am a Sunni Muslim
As i Know we have to follow any of 4 Imams .

But should we also have to follow any Jamaat, how to select a jamaat, as we know every jamaat says they are on the right path.

Beaing a comman man we want to do good islamic practices, but because of this people are confuse.

Allaah has made it obligatory to acquire adequate ilm which will help a man to identify the straight path of Deen.

So my brother, devote yourself to learn Aqeedah, Sunnah, Fiqh etc to distinguish right from wrong.

The best way to start from studying the lives of Sahaba . It will help you to learn authentic Islam.

The brother is correct. Learn Aqeedah and authentic Sunnah. Give attention and care to authenticity and learn what the sahaba believed in. Pure Islam. Nothing made up. This is what will help you.

The prophet peace be upon him said so and answers your questions :

The prophet said: “My Ummah (nation) will split into seventy three sects, all are in hell, except for one.”His companions asked: “Which one is that O Messenger of Allah?” He replied: “The one that will be upon the way of me and my companions.”

The Prophet peace be upon him also said: "I am leaving you two things and you will never go astray as long as you cling to them -- they are the Book of Allah and my Sunnah."

He also said : "The best of people is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them (i.e. the first three generations of Muslims)."

Also: “I am leaving amongst you two things, you will never go astray as long as you cling to them: the Book of Allaah and my Sunnah. They will not separate from each other, until you meet me at the Lake"

These are some guidelines from the messenger of Allah peace and blessings be upon him.

You should join only if they are from the Ahlusunnah wal jammah.Practically speaking you dont have many options when it comes to Jammats for your purpose. There are 2 or 3 solid ones that are really focused on self reformation and bringing complete deen in our lives. The ones working for political and other purposes are valuable too, but for a comman man who simply wants to learn and practise he should be amongst those brothers who are mainly focused on self reformation, building Iman and inviting others also along with our individual development. The worst thing you could do to your time and energy would be to join a group whose sole purpose is to bash people from different madhabs within Ahlusunnah and debate, discuss and shout on Fiqhi masail, and when you see them particularly discussing and insulting other scholors then this is a very good sign that dont waste your time any further. InshAllah consult good ulemas in your area and even on this forum, and try to follow their advise in this matter.
