For those who are interested, the excellent biography of the fourth rightly guided Caliph 'Ali ibn abi Talib (ra) has been released in two big volumes, I have read it in 'Arabi it's very detailed and relies upon the most authentic of narrations and Ahadith as it narrates the life of 'Ali since his birth until his death.

Im currently reading this and its absolutely amazing as have been all the works of Dr Sallabi e.g. Seerah of Nabi saw, Abu Bakr, Umar and Uthman RA. Highly recommend.

A big historian, I wouldn't recommend it otherwise.
