Rasulullah has said: "If a person passes away, hasten him to his grave and do not keep him away." The Janaazah Namaaz should be arranged quickly and the Mayyit should be buried in the nearest Muslim Qabrastaan (cemetery). To transport the body over long distances is undesirable. It is also MAKROOH to delay the Janaazah Namaaz and wait for late comers to increase the Jama'at.

Why Delay The Janazah And Not Follow The Beloved Prophet SAW's Sunnat?

The Shaykh Also Insisted That After The Demise Of His Respected Father - That The Burial Takes Place Immediately Although Many People Had Been Told It Was Unlikely For The Burial To Take Place That Day. Many People Also Had Said That, If The Janazah Is Kept The Next Day, Many People Will Attend. However He Showed Importance To The Beloved Sunnat Of The Prophet SAW And Kept The Janazah On The Same Day.His Father Before His Passing Away Also Mentioned That He Wanted The Burial To Take Place As Soon As Possible ( Not To Delay ) .May Allah Grant The Respected Shaykhs Father A High Place In Jannat. The Reason For Him Mentioning This Was After Reading From A Book Of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi R.A. - He Also Expressed That Reading Books Of The Pious Is Very Beneficial

“Five benefits of attending someone’s janāzah:
1. It is a Sunnah.
2. It is the right of the deceased.

3. A person attending the ṣalāh will receive reward equivalent to Mount Uḥud and the one who stays till the burial will receive reward equivalent to two Mount Uḥuds.
4. It is a means of comfort for the family of the deceased.
5. It causes us to remember our death.”
