Salaam,
I know this topic has been discussed before and I have just used the search facility to try and find the answer and even thou I found the threads I couldn't find a direct answer so please have patience with me brother. If yes or no answers could be given it would be appreciated, I have a few questions and will ask as I get the answers. Q. According to the Hanafi madhab can you read Tahajjud in Jamaat? (please reply with a yes or a no if you know the answer). |

Why does there seem to be so much confusion regarding this? I will tell you what I am confused about and hoping someone can assist me. The hadith which talks about the night prayer is interpretated by some as meaning Tahajjud and not Tarweeh due to the number of rakaats read followed by the Witr. Now we believe that hadith is talking about Tahajjud so if this is the case why is there so much confusion regarding reading Thajjud in Jamaat? |

Salaam, There has been discussion on this in the past at Sunniforum. The major opinion in the hanafi madhhab is that you do not make jama'ah of more than 3 people for any nafl prayer, including tahajjud. This can be found in Askimam.org if you do a search inshaAllaah. |
