Default Iftari in resturant that sells Alcohol?
Salaam,

What is the opinion on eating in a restaurant (halaal food) that sells Alcohol?
I have just been invited to open Ifari and it just hit me that opening my fast (something we do for our Lord) in a place that sells Alcohol has to be wrong?

Even if your not fasting i think its best to avoid these places?

Can anyone shed any more info so I can advise my friends also etc?

JazakAllah

General question and answer, the person does not mention its in month of Ramadhan nor that they are breaking fast but it should shed some light:

Is it permissable to eat in restaurants that serve alcohol? Also can we eat food that is prepared by non Muslims?

Tayyibaat refers to that food which is pure (Halaal) beyond doubt.
Therefore, precaution should be exercised in determining which food is
Halaal beyond doubt. It is not sufficient to rely on the Halaal signs
advertised on windows of food outlets as many people use the sign only for
commercial purposes.

Food prepared by non-Muslims or served in a restaurant serving alcohol is
not Tayyibaat.

The Prophet said: “He who believes in Allah and the Last Day, let him not sit at a table where alcohol is served.” [Sunan al-Tirmidhî (2801)]

The plot is thickening.
