Default Proof of Du'a being Maqbool at the time before Fajr and Maghrib?

I read in one of the Ramadan advice articles by one of our 'ulama that one's du'a is maqbool (or perhaps it has a better chance of being maqbool?) at the time before Fajr (just after Suhoor) and just before Maghrib/Iftar. I sent this information to a "Salafi type" friend who asked for the dalil (not surprisingly).

I would like to provide it as it may help him accept articles by our scholars in the future (as he is somewhat open...).

Does anyone here know the evidence?

There are quite a few Ahadith on du'as being accepted before Fajr and also for the fasting person before he breaks his fast. They're pretty well known I think...don't have the time otherwise I would have posted them for you.

wa rahmatullah,
It's actually a good habit, with all those mawdhu ahadith widespread nowadays we are bound to research further when a report comes from laymen.
