Is is true that Darood should not be recited after Asr till maghrib i.e for almost 3 hours or so?? I think I read this in some book but I doubt this being true. Please someone shed some light on this.

No,Its not ture. you cant pray only Nafal prayer between the asr and maghrib time, except this you can do all o ther ibadahs like doing zikr, reciting durood or Quran.

Thank you brother.
About nafal prayer, I thought you could offer it from Asr to magrib except sometime before sunset like 20 mins or more maybe.
Even if a person is in the Ka'abah, does this mean that he still cant offer nafal from asr to magrib??

There is no nafl prayer after Asr. But, if you delay Asr, then you can pray Nafl uptil the point you offer your Asr Salah. So say if Asr ends at 2100, one can either
pray Asr early at say 1900 and after that he cannot pray any Nafl, or he can pray Asr at 2020 in which case he could have offered Nafl prayers before 2020.
So its only after you've prayed Asr that you cannot pray Nafl. This is one of the wisdoms of delaying Asr, however it shouldnt be delayed so much that Asr
is prayed when the Sun is darkening as that is Makrooh time to offer Asr.

As for inside the Ka'bah, I have no knowledge on that, Allahu A'lam

JazakAllah Arif Ahmed. Your answer was rich in details.
Still hoping someone would answer my question about nafl in Ka'abah after Asr. I'm curious.

We can offer Qaza prayers after asr till the time when the Sun becomes Orangish. Can't pray at that time. YOu can only pray Asr of that day in that time.
