assalamu 'alaikum -

i was wondering what do you think of $1000 us dollars for mosque donation during Ramadan for a middle-class person, is this too little?

any thoughts?

It's as little / or as too much as the person donating the money, makes it out to be.

If they can afford to do so, then

. If they are struggling to make such a donation, then may Allah

, accept their true intentions & allow them to make such a donation, at a later date & reward them accordingly.

They will be rewarded in this dunya & jannah,

p.s, $1000 = £613, at the moment, if I am correct. I know many people who would love to be in a position to be able to donate such an amount, so who cares if it is too little? - It's still better then nothing, and the intention it is donated with, is what really matters.

i get the feeling you think it is small amount? just trying to get some opinions, i understand it depends on a lot of factors...

In no way do I think that it is a small amount, brother. $1000 is a lot of money.
