STRANGE TITLE???

but the more strange thing to me is the saying of rasulullah saw...
"pray as if u see Allah".....(dats regarding ahsaan)

when ever i tried, some images of ghair ullah appear infront of me
i dont know whether in this world any one can do dat literally

or is ther any hidden meaning inn that hadith...

how can a person see Allah when he doen't know who/what Allah is...

even if somebody knows the 99 sifats of Allah , how can he visualise HIM(swt).

I think you're taking that saying a little too literally. Allah

is not some physical being in time and space that you can see with your eyes.

The saying of the prophet alayhimasaalam pray as if you see Allah SWT Allahua3lam- means make your prayers perfect and imagine Allah SWT is watching you pray, that way when your praying as if you see Allah SWT you will try your utmost best to please Allah SWT and that will help you to make your prayers as perfect as you can. for example: If your giving a speech on stage and your trying to please your teachers to get good marks by making the speech as perfect as you can because you know your teachers are watching you ie, same thing with prayer try and make them as perfect as you can because you know Allah SWT is watching you,that way your praying as if you can see Allah SWT.

Allah swt cannot be seen in this world, our eye sight is not refined and strong enough to behold the countenance.

pray AS IF you see Him.

u have really confused me & also mixed the 2 diffrnt sayings of rasullullah saw...
he says..
pray as if u see HIM
or the least u can do is to pray thinking that HE sees u.

u have mixed the least & the fore most condition of AHSAAN.

well even if one goes for the least one then also some ghairullah will come in front.

for example :
even if i try to concentrate the most good things that comes r the verses of quran, baitullah , imaginative Hashr etc...
but these are just ghairullah isn't it ?

i know wat u meant by saying , v shud pray thinking that allah s watching
but sis ask u r self even in that situation doesn't any thing comes in front of u

just close ur eyes & think Allah is in front / or say He s watching & see is it possible to have an image less thought????

may Allah guide us & protect us from the unknown Shirk!!!!!!!!!!!!

how about to get the actual hadith in Arabic and to discuss the translations and the actual meaning of it? That is because a lot can lost in translation and we might not understand the actual context meant in the original hadith.

Asalaamualaykum brother,
I sincerely apoligise for confusing you may Allah SWT forgive me. The last thing i would ever want to do is mix Rasul Allah alayhimasalaam words,or confuse any one of his followers.
But thats what i do when i pray i imagine Allah SWT is watching me- so for me (and every individual is different) i say to myself Allah SWT is watching me pray and while i am beseeching The Almighty in my prayer, i pray as if i can see Him by thinking He is watching me that way i dont allow my mind imagine or think about what Allah looks like.
(so basically what i do is by not allowing myself to have a thought or image of what Allah SWT looks like, i tell myself Allah SWT is watching me and for me its as if i am praying to Him like i can see Him.)
"Ya Rabb" i hope this has helped you and release you from confusion. ameen
I pray to Allah SWT that i havnt confused you further.

i think what u mean to say is ....... HOW do we think Allah is watching us...... exP: like we think some light it is up above looking or..... some weird thought will come no matter what..... SO some weird things come in mind when u start medidating no matter what

the hadeeth says AS IF you see him. meaning you have such certainty of Allah because you are standing in front of him that you would be the most devout of worshippers and stay away from sins. if you cant do this. remember that he sees you. you are not supposed to try and picture Allah, you are supposed to worship Allah to level as if you were in front of him.

You will not be able to see Allah in this life as even musa alayhi salaam couldnt see him. this privilidge will be reserved for his slaves on the day of judgement
