Regardless this thread is not about shaykh nazim rather it is about this brother finding a reliable sufi shaykh and i am also very interested in this.
i do know that shaykh zulfiqar ahmed naqshbandi does something similar online: http://www.tasawwuf.org/basics/what_tasawwuf.htm scroll to the bottom. also if your in england sure you can find a shaykh easily but where i am....i don't think it would be so easy does anyone know of a reliable sufi shaykh in alberta (and DO NOT MENTION SYED SUHRWARDI). |

i don't know about mufti asim (that is if he is a shaykh)...but if he did accept bayah then taking bayah with him or shaykh abdussatar (if they would permit) would face the same drawback that taking bayah with shaykh zulfiqar wouldn't it? mainly that they are far away and that most if not all communication i may ever have with them will be via e-mail or phone if i am ever that lucky.
