Meditation is very good for health. By it we can reduce stress and depression. It is done in peaceful atmosphere. It is good to do in morning. Make sure that no one can disturb while you are doing meditation. Think about your happy moment and about your god. Do not think about problems.

Wa'Laikum Assalaam
Also I don't even know how you could learn yoga in a Halal environment (unless it were at home) due to the kind of dress that Yoga calls for, and public classes at gyms or athletic centres are obviously open to women of all different sexual orientations. You can't go wrong when you ask a Sheikh.
This is on a complete sidenote to the meditation issue at hand. But now that you bring it up is it wrong to not wear hijab/ or change infront of other women (if you do not know their sexual orientation)?
