Today I met a Maulana from Paksitan in Haram. Sat with him from zuhr to Asr. He said alot of great things. I really liked what he said. Let me quote his sayings:

1) He pointed towards Roza e Mubarak and said, the Sahib e Qabr here had nothing, no expenses at all yet he asked Allah to reduce his expenses and asked for Qanaa'at (Being content). You will find NO ONE is the whole Ummah who asks Allah to reduce his expenses. Everyone asks Allah to increase his wealth to fit his expenses but no one is really bothered about reducing his expenses.

2) We live the life of Fir'on and expect the death of Moosa عليه السلام!!

3) He said, listen carefully to what I'm saying. We all know that Haram is dangerous and harmful for us. In the same way, Halal is also very harmful for us. I asked him how? He said, listen... Halal becomes harmful because of Hirs o Hawas! You have a bank account of millions but don't have any hirs o hawas in you., it's not harmful. You have no bank account and no money at all yet you have hirs o hawas in you, It's very harmful or you have lots of money with Hirs o Hawas, it becomes dangerous for you.

He said many more great things. I'll post it as I recall what he said.
